A Marginalized People
The Akha are an ethnic people scattered across small villages in the mountains of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and China. Often mocked with the nickname “hill people,” they face significant geographic and economic challenges. In every country where they live, the Akha are considered minorities and non-citizens. By supporting our Thailand missions, you bring the Gospel to Akha men, women, and children throughout Southeast Asia.
Child Sponsorship
The House of Light Children’s Home is a haven for more than 60 at-risk Akha children. When you sponsor one of these children, you’re providing them with a home, opportunities to hear the Gospel, and resources to develop vital life skills. You can change the course of a child’s life.
Biblical Training
The Akha Light Bible Institute provides seminary training to at least 50 young men and women from across Southeast Asia each year. Graduates become ambassadors for the Gospel, planting churches in unreached regions of Thailand and neighboring countries.
Meet Our Partner
Pastor John and Nut Phiphattharadon have dedicated their lives to reaching the Akha people with the love of Christ. They currently pastor a church in Thailand and have four sons: Bass, Bank, Benz, and Boss.
