Restoration
Our Daughters International rescues and counsels trafficked Nepali women, walking with them as they heal, grow, and build self-sufficient lives. ODI also works with government officials and law enforcement to fight trafficking at its source, advocating for stronger laws and prosecuting perpetrators at local and international levels. Since its founding, ODI has helped rescue more than 11,500 women.
Education
Our partners at ODI help rescued women secure self-sustaining work through skill training, micro-businesses, and loans. Women can pursue higher education or train in a range of career paths, including cosmetology, electrical work, food service, and sewing.
Transformation
Daughters who have completed the program now operate 14 border surveillance stations to assist local authorities in identifying victims and traffickers. Many of these women speak at local schools to educate students about the dangers and signs of human trafficking. Woodside and ODI believe that these restored Daughters will be the ones to eradicate human trafficking in Nepal.
Meet Our Partner
Ramesh and his wife rescued their first group of Daughters in 2009 and launched Our Daughters International in the process. They have two daughters of their own, but they consider every ODI Daughter to be part of their family.
